Payroll

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's leading specialty food distributor, currently seeks a Payroll/Benefits Administrator to complete and monitor company-wide full cycle payroll for 300+ employees both salary and hourly.

Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

• Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for 300+ multi-state employees using Ceridian HR/Payroll Web Based System and Ceridian Time and Attendance.
• Research and resolve all employee inquiries relating to payroll.
• Design processes for an efficient and accurate full cycle payroll and meet associated deadlines.
• Review, calculate, and prepare all retroactive adjustments, advances, and manual checks in accordance with company policy.
• Set-up garnishments and maintain accurate records for employee and/or garnishment agency inquiries.
• Participate in benefits administration to include claims resolution and change reporting.
• Employee benefits reconciliation and 401k maintenance.
• Ensure company compliance in Federal and State Income Tax withholding Laws.
• Ability and knowledge of confidential procedures and processes as they relate to payroll and employee files.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least two years experience processing payroll.
• Experience with Ceridian HR/Payroll Web Based System strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to work with little direction and be able to define, solve, collect, analyze, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to deal effectively with matters of a highly visible and confidential nature.
