Warehouse Supervisor

DPI Specialty Foods, a market leader in the food distribution industry, currently has an opening for an experienced Warehouse Manager

This position is responsible to direct and schedule manpower in the most efficient manner to meet throughput goals.  Adjust labor and equipment relative to the needs of inbound and outbound volume.  Monitor individual performance activities for compliance to production expectations.  Ensure that all product received and shipped is arrives in good salable condition for our customers.   Effectively multi-task work assignments. This would include simultaneously overseeing the selection and loading process.  Demonstrate good communicate skills with the work force and interacting with all levels of the organization.  Must provide accurate auditing and production reports to warehouse superintendent on a daily basis.  Ability to get work done through others.  Foster a “we can do it” attitude. Ensures staff develops to their full potential.  Create a daily and weekly work plan to meet budget goals and expectations.  Demonstrate the ability to reason, use common sense, good judgement and utilize good decision making skills. Responsible for overcoming unforeseen work related problems through ingenuity and resourcefulness. Responsible for completing all outbound loads on time and in order to meet transportation dispatch schedules.
 

• Minimum of 3 years work experience in food distribution or food logistics at a supervisor level or above. 
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with great interpersonal skills.
• Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Work experience in a controlled environment is a plus. 
• Must have good computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with a warehouse management system with directed reserve control and RF knowledge is desirable.
